Food Safety Level 3 Course Overview

The Food Safety Level 3 course trains anyone who handles and prepares food in a Singapore Food Agency (SFA) licensed retail food establishment. ICASTEC is an NEA/SSG Approved Food Hygiene Course training provider.

Learners will learn about food safety practices and regulatory requirements, pre-requisite programmes implemented in food establishments, methods used to conduct food safety and hygiene inspection/check, food safety and hygiene lapses and corrective actions, and concepts and principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and be able to apply them at the workplace.

Food Safety Level 3 Course Content

This course aims to equip supervisors and managers in food establishments with the application skills and knowledge to conduct food safety and hygiene checks.

Food Safety Level 3 Course Duration

The safety level 3 course is a three day course consisting of 21 hours of training and assessment. ICASTEC class usually starts at 9 am to 6 pm.

Food Safety Level 3 Course Learning Outcome

Level 3 of the food safety course is for food handlers who level up and take on greater responsibilities in the kitchen and the work premises in Food and Beverage establishments in general. It equips them with the know-how to conduct food safety checks for their specific work areas.

Food Safety Level 3 Course Assessment Mode

Participants are required to undergo a 1.5 hours assessment comprising of practical performance (PP), a written assessment that consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and short answer questions (SAQ), at the end of the course.

Food Safety Level 3 Certificate

Participants who completed the course and passed the assessment will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Food Safety Level 3 Certificate Verification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to retrieved your Food Hygiene Statement of Attainment Certificate from SkillsFuture Skills Passport website.

Food Safety Level 3 Course FAQ

Each class holds a maximum of 20 pax.

A mask must be worn at all times during class. Please avoid wearing slippers, shorts, short skirts, or sleeveless tops for safety.

After completing the course, you will be awarded an SSG/WSQ Cert (Statement of Attainment).
